FEVER:	 
*  A significant fever ( 100 degrees or higher)
*  Has had a fever within the last 24 hours.
COLDS:
*  A cold that is accompanied by green or yellow nose drainage,
   watery eyes or frequent sneezing.
COUGH:
*  A wet or wheezy cough( which could spread viral or bacterial infection)
VOMITING:
*  Recurring vomiting ( more than once)
*  When a child vomits at school, parents will be notified.

EYE INFECTIONS:
*  Discharge (green or white) from the eyes, usually accompanied by redness 
   and itching (possible conjunctivitis or 'pink eye').  A child must remain 
   out of school until he/she has been on antibiotic drops or ointment for at
   least 24 hours and no discharge is evident.
DIARRHEA:
*  Diarrhea (loose, watery stools) at frequent intervals.
EAR INFECTIONS:
*  Child must remain out of school until he/she has been on antibiotics for 
   24 hours.
					
STEP THROAT:
*  Child must remain out of school until she/he has been on antibiotics for
   24 hours.

SKIN RASH:
*  When a child has any skin rash, he/she must remain out of school until a 
   doctor's note is received that the rash has been identified and is not 
   contagious.
CHICKEN POX:
*  A child must remain out of school as soon as diagnosed with Chicken Pox.
   Children are contagious 2 days before the rash appears and until all 
   blisters have dried into scabs.  A child exposed to Chicken Pox usually 
   begins to show symptoms in 14 - 21 days.

LICE:
*  A child must remain out of school until mites or eggs (nits) have been removed
   from the hair by treatment with Pyrinate shampoo.
